A holistic approach to the home.

Since youth I’ve been hyper-sensitive to my surroundings, and obsessed by “fixing” houses that have suffered under the hands of un-knowing owners.  I’ve put myself through this process six times, and am currently completing the renovation of a California condo for myself and my partner. Each move leaves me with a deeper understanding of what it takes to create harmony with the surroundings, the structure and the client. This is the foundation of my inspiration; the point to which I always return.  Mine is a holistic approach, grounded in attention to detail, and one I feel is necessary in making a complete experience out of any home environment.  There is no such a thing as a bad house.

I design award-winning interiors for people who seek individuality in their homes, throughout the region and nation. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, my education includes apprenticeship to the world-renowned Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and the workrooms of Holzheimer Interiors—providing a broad knowledge base unique among my peers.

I look forward to discussing your project.

Classic Modern. Modern Classic.

My style can be described as Classic Modern…or Modern Classic–and it exudes confidence and comfortable elegance.

My background in architecture and building gives me access to methods that translate to successful new construction or renovation projects.  I take a  scholarly approach in furnishing and decorating spaces.  It guides me in mingling things from past homes or past relationships into a restful and cohesive composition.

Our over-connected culture has left many of us seeking a refuge in which to unwind, and a background where we gather with family and friends to create private memories.  Privacy is the new luxury.

Common to all of my interior design projects is attentiveness to detail, and a harmony achieved by following deeply held principles of architectural balance and spacial flow. I am drawn to color schemes that either reflect or compliment the views of the surroundings. So it really doesn’t matter if I’m designing for a suburban setting in the Mid-west, or in New York City, Florida or the California Desert. The goal is to create a feeling of ease and comfort; the sense that all is as it should be and always appropriate.

Wishing you all the comforts of home…
